Hello and welcome to the Auraria Students for the Humane Treatment of Animals’ (ASHTA) website. ASHTA’s mission is to promote humane and ethical treatment of all animals as well as raise awareness and educate students on animal cruelty issues.
We are actively involved in promoting issues related to:
- The treatment of hens in battery cages and the switch to using cage-free eggs
- The inhumane conditions and treatment of puppys in puppy mills
- Factory farming and vegan outreach
- Animal experimentation and testing
- The treatment of animals used for fur
- Wildlife endangerment and poaching
- Many more!
